Olivier Courrèges - Founder / CEO

Olivier has served as CEO since the inception of Qynapse in 2015. With 15 years in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, he possesses strong entrepreneurship, marketing and management experience – both in the United States and Europe.

Before Qynapse, he served as Director of Strategy and Development for Merck Millipore, a division of Merck KGaA. He joined the Millipore Corp in 2006 to implement pricing practices for a $1 B life science business unit. Earlier on in his career, he co-founded Open Pricer, a company that delivered pricing software to several Fortune 500 companies.

Olivier holds a master’s in business administration from Toulouse Business School and a master’s in technology management from Ecole Centrale Paris.

Clarisse Longo dos Santos, PhD - VP of Product Management

Clarisse co-founded Qynapse and serves as VP of Product Management. She brings to Qynapse almost 15 years of clinical studies management, image processing and neuropsychological assessment experience, in Europe, Brazil and Canada. At Qynapse, she leads the team in charge of software development and validation and she also leads the collaborations with our scientific and clinical partners.

Prior to Qynapse, she was a research engineer at CEA where she managed multiple clinical studies for CNS diseases, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. She began her career performing neuropsychological assessment of patients with epilepsy, brain trauma and learning or memory disabilities at the neurology & neurosurgery department of a large hospital in Brazil. She then did her graduate studies in Psychology and Neuroimaging, exploring the functional networks of learning and memory in Montreal, Canada; followed by a post-doctoral fellowship in neuroimaging using advanced methods of diffusion MRI to identify changes in the connectivity in patients with neurodegenerative diseases in Saclay, France.  

She holds a PhD in experimental psychology from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada – and a post-doc in Neuroimaging from CEA, France.

Mickaël Abensur - R&D Leader, Web & Imaging

Mickaël joined Qynapse in 2020 as Web & Imaging Leader, bringing extensive knowledge of IT systems and cloud computing. He is leading a team of image processing engineers and is responsible for the scalability and rollout of our certified Qynapse neuro-imaging solutions.

Before joining Qynapse, Mickaël was an R&D Engineer at Qare – a teleconsultation provider that is N°1 in France and also operating in Europe. He was in charge of developing their App, which has more than 50k users. With his considerable start-up experience, ranging from product specifications through to product launch, he brings a user-centric approach to development and an agile methodology to Qynapse.

Mickael holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from the London Metropolitan University.

Antoine Movschin - R&D Leader, Data Science

Antoine joined Qynapse in 2018 as Data Science R&D Leader. He heads up the development and certification of machine-learning algorithms for the diagnosis and prediction of the clinical evolution of central nervous system diseases.

Prior to Qynapse, Antoine spent 7 years as R&D Engineer and Technical Leader at Air Liquide Medical Systems. He was in charge of the development and certification of breathing assistance medical devices for patients suffering from a wide range of diseases – from chronic respiratory diseases to acute respiratory insufficiency and critical care. He also led artificial intelligence projects for diagnosis assistance.

Antoine holds an engineering degree in signal processing and artificial intelligence from Telecom ParisTech, Paris.

Enrica Cavedo, PhD

Scientific Team Leader

Dr. Enrica Cavedo, PhD, joined Qynapse in 2019 as Scientific Team Leader, bringing a strong expertise in neuroimaging, neuropsychology and clinical studies. She is responsible for the research collaborations and is involved in the clinical validation of the medical device and the relationship with partners.

Prior to Qynapse, she worked 7 years in the reference Research Center for Alzheimer's Disease in Italy (IRCCS Fatebenefratelli). She obtained her PhD in 2015, at Sorbonne University, France, investigating the standardization and implementation of MRI markers in Alzheimer’s Disease clinical trials.

She has conducted a post-doctoral research at Paris Brain Institute (ICM) implementing research studies using multi-imaging modalities as well as investigating the association between imaging and biological markers of Alzheimer’s Disease.

Olivier est le Président de Qynapse depuis sa création en 2015. Avec 15 années d’expérience dans l’industrie pharmaceutique et médicale, il dispose d’une forte expérience en entreprenariat, en marketing et en management – aussi bien en Europe qu’aux États-Unis.

Avant Qynapse, il était Directeur de la Stratégie et du Développement pour Merck Millipore, une division de Merck KGaA. Il a rejoint Millipore Corporation en 2006 pour mettre en œuvre la fonction “Pricing” d’une division de 1Mrd $ fournisseur de technologies pour les sciences de la vie. Plus tôt dans sa carrière, il a cofondé Open Pricer, une société spécialisée dans les logiciels d’optimisation des politiques tarifaires.


Il est titulaire d’un master en administration des affaires de l’École Supérieure de Commerce de Toulouse, et d’un master en Technologie de l’École Centrale Paris.

Matt Ullum, CPA

Chief Commercial Officer

Matt joined Qynapse in 2020 as Chief Commercial Officer, bringing over 15 years of experience spanning the global pharmaceutical and healthcare industries with a focus on Alzheimer’s disease and other central nervous system (CNS) disorders. He specializes in growing early stage companies by driving strategic vision into rapid revenue generation.

Prior to Qynapse, Matt recently served in a key commercial role for WCG Clinical, where he achieved significant growth within its patient engagement division. Prior to that, he was responsible for the market launch of COGNISION’s FDA-approved EEG/ERP medical technology. Earlier in his career, Matt co-led the creation and launch of a national healthcare management company that focused on outsourcing the management of US-based employed physician networks.

Matt holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky and is a Certified
Public Accountant.
